A simple winter elopement wedding in the Heart of old Newmarket at Lil Brew Hops Brewery
M & M wanted a simple elopement wedding with their closes family and friends at a brewery. When the bride reached out saying they were tying the knot with a brunch on Main Street in Newmarket at Lil Brew Hops Brewery, I was like, “A brewery wedding? Heck yes! I am IN!” As an Innisfil based wedding and elopement photographer, I love when people find little gems close to home.
They arrived at the brewery, already prepared jump right into the ceremony. Mariah, the bride, walked down the aisle alone with a stunning bouquet or red roses to match her red dress. They exchanged their vows and rings in a sweet and speedy wedding ceremony while her grandmother held her bouquet.
After the ceremony, we to took off for downtown Newmarket. Main Street is the older part of town and has lots of cute shops and vintage charm. We found the perfect alley to snap a few photos before taking off for the outdoor rink. We were able to convince a few novice skaters to loop around the couple to create a motion blur effect. As we made our way back up to Main Street, we found the cutest little heart above a shop. I ran over to the other side of the intersection to capture the couple underneath the “heart of main street” sign.
Little Brew Hops on Main Street had transformed their space from ceremony to reception with tables and red roses, adorned with little menus for brunch. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, and the space felt so warm and intimate – perfect for an afternoon elopement.
Your wedding does not have to be complicated. It can be a sweet and simple brunch at a brewery. Low stress, low frills, and lots of love. As a wedding photographer, I am finding that more couples are choosing to go this route – either a low key wedding, small guest list for a more intimate vibe, or maybe you just want to escape and do the destination thing.
